About Me

About Me-Monica Labeaud, Founder of The Broken French Door

Here you can read about me.

I Built from Broken. Blessed Beyond.
I’m Monica—born in Jeanerette, raised on roux, and rebuilt by grace.
This brand didn’t come from a boardroom. It came from a porch. From a mama who didn’t sugarcoat, a Maw-Maw who prayed loud, and a town that taught me how to survive with style.
I’ve lost more than most. Family, friends, pieces of myself. But I’m still here. Still kickin’. Still building something that feels like home.
Coonass Wear & Co. was my first baby—stitched with sass and swamp soul. Now I’m evolving into something deeper:
The Broken French Door.
Because broken things still open. And sometimes, they let in the light.
Every product in this store carries a piece of my story.
•     Aprons for the women who stir pots and speak truth
•     Tees that sound like your mama on a good day
•     Candles that burn with prayer and side-eye
•     Mats and mugs that say what you’re thinking
This ain’t just a store. It’s a testimony.
If you’ve ever felt cracked but kickin’, bent but blessed, welcome home.
With love, fire, and a whole lotta seasoning,
Monica Labeaud
